It took 2 days
to set up the lighting & fine tune it to what you see on the final
transparency. This was a commissioned shot for Harley Davidson UK. |

I happened to
be in Miami at the time on a job. This came about as we were travelling
across Biscayne Bay to a location. |

Deardorff 5 x 7 special |

Special:
|
Shot on 5 x 4 tranny film
from a moving boat. (The first time I've tried a tracking shot, from
a very unstable platform on large format. It was then drum scanned,
desaturated, some colour put back in & finally a 'fake' 35mm neg
border dropped in. |

I happened to
be at the beach with the kids when it was time to
get some ice creams. I looked up & saw the whole beach in silhouette.
The
ice creams had to wait until the shot was done - 1 roll of film later. |

|
Special:
|
Shot B/W on Tri X. I spent
a lot of time experimenting with different bromide papers and various
toners, bleach backs etc. The result is a bleach back thio print then
gold toned. |
