The first version
of this picture was done for The Vue d'Esprit 3 Box Art. In 2002,
I did a revised version now sold as a limited edition art print from
my online gallery. |

This picture is
my biggest print to date (112 cm wide). I really like the retro american/modern
blend. This is a theme I am going to explore further in my future works.
The picture was rendered in one single pass and touched up in Photoshop.
People often ask how much Photoshop there is in my work. The answer
is A LOT. I consider 3D as a mere basis on which to paint in Photoshop. |

This picture is
again inpired by the american retro
culture. I did a first version a few years back but I was not satisfied
with it. So I did a 2002 revised version for printing. |

| words from the artist |
| I'm
not very good at this. One thing I'd like to say, however, is that
compliments I get from people who sincerely enjoyed
|
my
pictures are clearly the best reward for me. But I don't like being
buged by people asking how I did this or that |
from
a technical point of view. I think they miss the point. To feel happy
as an artist, you have to build your own |
style, based on your experience. It takes years and there's no
shortcut for that. I also dream of a world where art would be
|
considered
for what it is, and not for who did it or which technique
was involved. |
